Shu Uemura dep sea mist (ROSE) review

facial mist

pure depsea water mist
the source of instantly moisturized, energized and translucent skin

skin energizing
skin barrier fortifying
skin self-moisturizing
immediate & visible efficacy to improve skin quality
fine mist for enhanced comfort
8 herbal, 100% natural origin aromas to provide refreshing / relaxing sensation

I actually bought this a looong time ago but never bothered to do a review on it because...it's not that interesting... >w< but since I really like this product, I feel like I just have to share it with other people.

First of all, Shu Uemura is a world renown Japanese brand, most famous for its...eyelash curlers... =_='' and skin care products I'd assume. This 'Depsea' (was the spelling intentional or did he not know the existence of spell check...) moisturising mist is supposed to act as a toner and a cooling mist; basically a versatile injection of liquid whenever you need hydration. I personally really like this idea because its easy to use and it feels really nice.

This spray comes in many many scents some of which are shown in the picture below, and I picked out the rose scent since it's meant to have calming features while not being overly fragrant

I'm loving the simplistic design of the bottle and the choice of pink.

sadly, the product is wayyy too big to carry around AND the top cannot be twisted off, so unless you have a Travalo or something similar, its going to be hard to put part of it in a smaller container.

This is what it looks like in real life and I've already used nearly a third of the bottle. Despite it being refreshing and moisturizing, I've not yet felt an improvement to my skin, whether it's fairness, softness or hydration...so...(I normally use this as my toner)

for those that may be irritated by floral scented products shouldn't be bothered too much by this as the rose scent is very subtle and not overly sweet (which I like)

This is sold at around $30 usd online and $25 usd from the official Shu Uemura site.

I would purchase this again in a different scent after I finish, the rose IS super great and all but I want to trial other ones.

Ice Remake Spray review

I'm always in search for the perfect cooling spray prior to summer because I absolutely adore the feeling of a cold and scented mist on a scorching day. I've tried aerosol sprays and toner sprays but none really fitted my expectations.

I got this bottle of 'Ice Remake' spray ('for redo makeup') from Ippondo in Atrium on Elliot (Auckland City) for 20 NZD which equals to 17 USD. I have a sneaky feeling that I got it for much more than it is worth since international brands are always sold at a higher price in NZ.

(40g)
if the picture of the lemon was supposed to depict the scent...it lied

annnnddd what a disappointment it was. It has a tiny pointed nozzle which sprays out white foam that frizzles uncomfortably on the skin. Once applied on the face, it leaves white residues that doesn't dissolve unless you rub on it which I hate doing as I'm paranoid of smudging my make up.

It has a weird factory smell which I can neither describe nor get used to.

Its not very cooling nor is it especially good at maintaining my make up, overall, it was a stupid waste of money... on a side note, the packaging is quite cute.

the instructions on the back tell me to shake it before applying, I obeyed thinking it would make the white foam dissappear but it only made it stiffer =_= idk what the designer had in mind but I cannot find a suitable use for this product. Maybe its just me being oblivious and difficult but I have never come across a spray that acted like this.
it might also help that I don't understand a single word of Japanese and the bottle is covered in it. so perhaps it was me not understanding the instruction manual but...I would definitely not repurchase

EDIT :
ok WOW I was wrong about the shaking, after you shake it, it comes out with small solidified foam that is ICY COLD cool! but useless =_= just a thumbs up for the novelty

Etude House Styling eyeliner review

I was digging through my makeup box and happened to come across the long abandoned 'Etude House Styling eyeliner' so I thought to myself : 'why not make a blog entry on this and tell everybody how much I hate this product!'

which is what I'm doing right now ._.

for starters, its a twisty pencil. you twist the end to make the product come out
pros: no sharpening
cons: easy to break.
and guess what? Mine broke a week after I got it, and I swear I wasn't even pressing that hard!

I guess there's a bad thing about not sharpening after all ; the tip is ALWAYS BLUNT щ(ಠಠщ)

not pigmented at all, comes out a dark gray

ran my finger down it  ONCE only with water on the left and dry smudging on the right

so yeah...I didn't read any other bloggers' reviews on this product so I don't know if I'm the only one bitching about it, but I really dislike it. Mainly because I wore it to school once and forgot my pocket mirror, by the time I got home, I looked like a demented panda. Talk about embarrassing ! and the more you rub it to try get it off, the more it spreads.

I searched it on ebay and its selling for 6~7 dollars. USD.
frankly, I wouldn't buy it even if it was $2.

only pro is that there's quite a lot of product (much more that the etude eyebrow pencil which I'm on my third one already)

Winter/fall korean men's fashion

I often find that men ALWAYS look better when dressed for the cold weather, just compare a slouchy Tee with some shapeless board shorts topped off with a pair of grungy thongs to a nice tweed coat and long trousers.
Am I right?

Korean people are like the GODS of dressing nicely out of all my asian friends so I found a few pictures off Korean sites to share with you guys.

If your a girl and you're reading this...may this post help you in picking out christmas presents for your boy friends? or just swoon over the ulzzangs ^ ^

there's honestly only 3 things I love to see on guys,
1. a low cut V neck Tee (printless) with an unbuttoned cardigan
2. a loose (preferably bright colored) knitted sweater over shirt (collar tucked in) and an oversized knitted scarf winded around multiple times
3. a dark jumper with a heavy army coat (large lapels), black jeans and ankle boots.

^ if you're a guy and you own all the above items, MARRY ME

one thing I don't like are short leather jackets -_- unless you're hot enough to pull it off without looking like a drunk hipster....don't wear it

tbh the only item you need for an instant asian look is an oversized scarf. wind it around like a turtle neck and voila!

Male model LEE SOO HYUK

This post is created as a tribute to LEE SOO HYUK's eccentric and androgynous beauty ^ ^

personally, I really like 'exotic' looking guys, I think charisma and uniqueness is more attractive than golden proportions.
so I was watching some korean dramas now that I'm free from school and I discovered the most amazing model-turned actor EVER. He really adapts to his roles (mostly lone and depressed characters) and has a striking performance in all his projects.

yeah I'm a big 花痴 (over admiration for hot guys) (● ̄(エ) ̄●)

he has an effortless vampy look which I loooovveeee <3 9000 times better than the ones who sparkle

what I love the most about his looks is his angular face, look at the cheekbones speaking

*GASP*

and to top it off, he's good friends with GD and TOP from Big Bang!! imagine them sitting together in a cafe omg heavenly hor hor

he's perfect *w*

Sweet color nail polish review

Some of you may have heard of 'Sweet color' nailpolishes before, or as I'd like to call it, the Chinese O.P.I
except with cuter packaging ^ ^

I have it in two neutral shades as well as the base and top coat, here's what they look like :

overall, they dry fast, the colors are pigmented (2 coats is normally enough for a solid and opaque color) and they're relatively cheaper ( I think )

The top coat (clear bottle) dries a little slower than the rest, but that's no big problem, you just have to be a little more patient.

compared to O.P.I's, the sweet color range has a lot more pale and dolly shades, suitable for less intense Asian preferences.

I would repurchase this product, it is currently my go-to nail polish. the color stays on for weeks if I do good touch-ups.

heres what is looks like when applied, I'm using the one furthest to the right:

it doesn't streak or dry so quickly that the polish doesn't settle into a smooth coat.

I got it for 40 yuan a bottle in China which should roughly equal 6~7 USD. the top and base coats were a little more expensive if I remembered correctly...

so if you're wondering whether to buy it or not, buy...its pretty good la
